Jon Stevens Hits Australian Roads This July To August

In support of the release of his new album 'Starlight', revered singer-songwriter Jon Stevens will be embarking on an Australian tour which will see him rock into six states and territories this July to August. Kicking off at The Palms at Crown in Melbourne, he will make his way to Adelaide's Her Majestys Theatre and Skycity Darwin before playing Anita's Theatre in Wollongong and Enmore Theatre in Sydney.

Jon will then spend a night at the Concert Hall - QPAC in Brisbane before going back to New South Wales for an anticipated performance at Tweed Head's Twin Towns Services Club. Perth's Astor Theatre will see the final show for the tour.

Joining him will be his long-time friend, Kate Ceberano. “I am so looking forward to heading out on the road with Jon,” she says. “It is an honour to be able to perform with him to celebrate this wonderful album release. This kind of tour has been in discussions for a long-time and I am so glad it is something that we have been able to bring to fruition for Starlight.”

Jon Stevens really needs no further introduction. He has fronted some of the most iconic Aussie bands—Noiseworks, INXS and Dead Daisies—and now, he offers a solo effort which highlights his impressive musicianship and songwriting skills that make him one of the best in the business today. A collaboration with the legendary Ringo Starr, and fellow contemporary musician, songwriter and producer Dave Stewart (of Grammy-award winning Eurythmics fame), Starlight is an album bursting with soul, rawness and honesty.

Starting his career back in his home of New Zealand as a teenager, Jon Stevens already had two number one singles by the tender age of 16. Fast forward to the early 1980s and with five mates, Noiseworks filled the Australian airwaves with hits like No Lies, Love Somebody, Take Me Back, Touch and In My Youth to name a few.

When Noiseworks when on hiatus, he didn’t stop working. He followed up with solo albums, multiple stints in stage productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar and earned worldwide acclaim taking centre stage with INXS. His next band, The Dead Daisies, stepped up that international reputation with the debut single Lock and Load featuring the legendary Slash on guitar.
